Stuart Townsend snags vampire role - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

The Scotsman is reporting that Stuart Townsend has been named to replace Wes Bentley as the vampire Lestat in 'Queen of the Damned'.

Townsend, 23, was originally cast to play Aragorn in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" movies, but he was released after only a few days of filming. Viggo Mortensen is now playing Aragorn in the three-film production.
