The New Zealand Herald Online is reporting that Craig Parker, who was selected to play Haldir, the march-warden of Lorien in Peter Jackson's 'Lord of the Rings' movies, will a supporting role in a movie with American Actress Kelly McGillis.

The movie, tentatively called "House Guest", is being filmed at least partly in Pukekohe, Riverhead and the Woodhill State forest in New Zealand. Elizabeth Hawthorne, who played Hercules' mother Alcmene in early episodes of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, will also appear in the movie.

"The movie is being made by Daybreak Pictures," the Herald Online says, "and is curiously described by its advance publicity as 'a thriller along the lines of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle or Fargo.' Which would appear to make it a snowbound story about a botched kidnapping by a psychopathic nanny solved by a pregnant sheriff. Can’t wait."

And who says the New Zealand media don't have a sense of supreme humor?
