Barrie Osborne may make Keanu Reeves a god - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings
August 05, 2000 at 04:46:26SciFi Wire is reporting that LOTR producer Barrie Osborne is working on a Greek mythology-based fantasy movie that has grabbed Keanu Reeves' interest.
The article says Reeves want to play a god in the movie, which is tentatively about a king who seeks a way to become immortal, a god who wants to become a man, and how the king's daughter gets caught between them.
Osborne is still working on Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy in New Zealand. Stephen Hamel is developing the new movie with Osborne. The story originally appeared in Variety.
