Otago Daily Times goes to online registration - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

One of the more useful online sources of information about LOTR movie happenings in New Zealand has been The Otago Daily Times.

They have recently implemented a (free) registration process which requires the reader to provide them with some private information, no doubt for a demographics database intended to help improve their service. Nonetheless, asking those of us in the international community which portions of the print paper should be brought online is a minor annoyance.

Xenite.Org will continue to monitor the online edition of the Otago Daily Times, but we will no longer link to their articles. Instead, we will merely summarize the information and hope that serves well enough. We have lodged a complaint about this registration process in the comment section of the registration form, though we doubt it will accomplish anything.
