USA Today has published its top 150 selling books, based on numbers reported by more than 3,000 American booksellers (online and offline).

Ballantine's paperback edition of The Hobbit weighs in at a respectable 132 in the list. Not bad considering it appears to be the oldest book on the list, first published in 1937 (1938 for the United States).

The Merriam-Webster's Pocket Dictionary is ranked at 35, which is surprising considering that the book is deemed weak on plot and characterization though strong on description.
