They don't say anything we haven't reported here first, but ZDNet's Gamespot recently published a brief article on the lawsuit.

Gamespot, like other gaming news sites, has had occasional reports of intentions, plans, and hopes in the gaming world for Tolkien-related games. The uncertain state of the Sierra On-Line/Havas license may be having a broad impact on gaming licenses derived from Tolkien Enterprises.

The Gaming Havens at TheOneRing.Net has reported an unverified rumor that Interplay is trying to acquire the online gaming license. Xenite.Org has asked Inerplay for comment but has not heard anything at this time.

Any Internet-based game stands to reap a great windfall of interest from the three movies Peter Jackson is producing in New Zealand. Gamespot earlier this year reported that New Line Cinema, which is financing the three-film prodution of "The Lord of the Rings", was interested in seeing an interactive video game developed in conjunction with the movies.
