Elemental Films announced in December 1999 that they were working on the film "Elessar", based on the story of young Aragorn soon after he meets Arwen. But they have had to put that project on hold pending resolution of the film rights.
They have, however, also been working on a separate movie called "Ancanar", which is the story of a young man who seeks out a hidden city of the Elves, looking for immortality. The world should seem very familiar to Tolkien fans, and the story promises to be an interesting one.
This week's Tolkien and Middle-earth article at Suite101 will be about the trailer, and should be available within a few hours. But don't wait for us to tell you about it. Go check it out NOW!
