Mithrigil Galtirglin produces fifth chapter for Tolkien parody - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

Mithrigil Galtirglin, the gifted young writer who created "Peter's Rings", has been writing a parody of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. She has now released chapter five, "Caesar Salad".

The Lord of the Ringers follows the adventures of Fred Baggins, recently graduated high school student of the exclusive suburb known as The Shire, inherits a mysterious ring from his cousin Bill, whose own graduation was marked by Bill's mysterious disappearance.

Guided by the worthy Doctor Grey and aided by Sam, the son of the Baggins' family gardener, Fred sets out on a journey which will take him from The Shire with leather-jacketed bikers pursuing him and constant reminders from all his friends and relatives that he should have read Tolkien's book.

Tolkien fans will love this modern twist on a classic story.
