International Hobbit stage production has own Web site - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings
June 26, 2000 at 13:59:39Long-time rumor-hunting fans may recall that at the end of 1997 and in early 1998 a spate of rumors erupted from Australia about a possible Tolkien movie production being developed there. It turned out the rumors were spawned by the now well-known Hobbit On Stage puppet show.
The show has received rave reviews in Australia and will movie to New Zealand later this year. Many Tolkien fans have enthusiastically endorsed the production.
Another stage adaptation of The Hobbit is touring the United Kingdom, as many Tolkien fan sites have reported. Reactions to the UK production have been less supportive due to apparently obvious discrepancies between the play and the book.
