Dragoncon to disrupt Xenite.Org's news reporting - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

We're not exactly a one-man operation, but Michael Martinez is pretty vital to the smooth functioning of most of Xenite.Org and he is leaving town for Dragoncon and a short vacation afterward. Updates to the LOTR movie news Web site and other parts of Xenite.Org, except for Xena Online Resources, will be sporadic over the next two weeks.

Michael will have limited Internet access while he travels and will check email and other critical functions as he is able. Dragoncon lasts from Thursday, June 29 throug Sunday, July 2, and Michael is the director for the Tolkien and Middle-earth fan programming track. He will not have Internet access during the convention's daytime hours.

Tolkien Online will be providing daily audio Webcasts from Dragoncon on behalf of the Tolkien and Middle-earth track, provided no technical problems arise. TheOneRing.Net will also be in attendance at the convention and have some special plans. Michael will post news and updates as time and facilities permit.
