New Hobbit stage production starting up in Atlanta - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

Tolkien fans can add a fourth commercial production of J.R.R. Tolkien's THE HOBBIT to their detailed lists of stage adaptations running around the globe. A children's theater production will begin showing sometime in 2001 in Atlanta, GA.

We don't yet have many details as the production is still in early planning stages, but the team is seeking out Tolkien resources and asking questions. They are also reviewing scripts. At least two people from the production attended Dragoncon's Tolkien and Middle-earth track. Dragoncon was held in Atlanta from June 29 through July 2.

Xenite.Org will post more information as it becomes available. THE HOBBIT is currently being performed live on stage by commercial operations in Australia (soon to be in New Zealand), Canada, and in the United Kingdom.
