TheOneRing.Net has (at this writing) just posted additional information on the promised "LOTR trailer". November is not looking so promising after all.

Citing Harry Knowles' Ain't It Cool News site as a source, TORN is now reporting that a "teaser" (what is a "teaser", if not the opening sequence of a television episode?) will be released for Christmas 2000.

Christmas 2000? Well, the Christmas season now starts in October....

There will supposedly be a total of 3 teasers and 1 trailer released over the year preceding December 14, 2001.

You really have to feel for the guys at New Line Cinema. These rumors come out on the Web and they have to scramble to make some sort of reality out of them or they end up looking like they aren't doing anything.

(NOTE: In case you haven't heard, Peter Jackson is making three "Lord of the Rings" movies which will be almost as good as Ralph Bakshi's movie, according to Mr. Bakshi.)
