More New Zealand arrests in LOTR-gate prop theft/money-laundering case - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings
July 20, 2000 at 22:29:59TheOneRing.Net pointed us to a story from Nzoom.Com where OneNews has reported another arrest in connection with stolen property and a money laundering scheme afflicting Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" production.
No names have been released, but a company director was arrested and released on bail with several restrictions. He is charged with stealing more than $1500.00 (New Zealand) in scripts, videos, and costume designs from the film production company.
TORN is also reporting that Radio New Zealand has said police are talking to a third individual in the continuing investigation.
