Elemental Films posts new pictures, information on Ancanar.com - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

Elemental Films has updated its Ancanar Web site with new images and information, including a picture of producer/actress Raiya Corsiglia as Laliel, a slave girl who joins Ancanar on his quest to find the hidden city of the Elves.

Biographies have been posted for the five primary characters in the movie in a special Characters section. The five characters are Ancanar, Laliel, Aglanar, Curugon, and Raugil.

Another picture released on the Web site is this first look at an Elvish lake. Looks a bit like someone's Christmas tree fell in the water, but there is clearly an Ent hiding in the trees on the far side....

In the Web site's media section, Elemental Films is reporting they have contracted with Joe Piela of The Lonely Mountain Forge. Piela has been offering historical reproductions and fantasy weapons inspired by Tolkien's Middle-earth stories for sale.

Special Effects wizard Victor Marquez will be creating animatronics creatures for the film, including some which are "quite large" according to Curugon's terse description on the Web site.

The Web site is also soliciting resumes from interested fans who want to act in or work on the film. Details to be provided by Elemental Films.
