Company of the Ring casts doubt on Howard Shore rumor - Lord of the Rings news - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

Most of the Tolkien movie news sites are carrying the SoundtrackNet story about Howard Shore, but The Company of the Ring is raising a cautionary voice amidst the sea of latest acclamations.

As of yet, no unretracted official announcements have been made concerning who will score any or all of the three films in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings".

Shore has a solid reputation in the film-making industry, but then, so do many other fine composers, several of whom have indicated they would like the job.

Beren has made an inquiry and he reports his source as saying, "I spoke to our filmmakers who told me they are talking to a lot of composers right now, but no one is confirmed or hired."

No Hobbitnobbing articles were mentioned in the production of this report, but a rumor is circulating that an Ent was spotted in the trees of the fourth LOTR poster at Comicon.
