Spanish fans to gather for 'Two Towers' celebration

We received this press release in September right before our server problems started. We feel it's still worthwhile reporting on this event.

On December 18th, 2002 it will open in theatres all over the world the second part of the long-expected trilogy of 'The Lord of the Rings', 'The Two Towers'. In Beleg Aderthad, a humble corner in Internet created by and for fans of J.R.R. Tolkien and his works in http://www.belegaderthad.com/, we want all the fans of the Oxford's professor to enjoy a premiere in which Middle-earth becomes the bench mark for a party without precedent. A show worthy to be seen next to people like us, neighbors and friends and the rest of Tolkien's fans of the same community.

Beleg's aim is not only to join forces to enjoy Tolkien's works, its mythology and, of course, the movie in its maximum expression, being able thus to live an unforgettable experience. The Beleg Aderthad has been also created to achieve that all fans can attend the event. For that reason, in each city, in each region or in each geographical territory, there can be a small or great Beleg, where fans organize the activities that later on will themselves enjoy, where they organize chats, debates, games, shops and other type of events, besides watching the movie, to animate the rest of fans of the community to join the party.

To coordinate everything we have created this site in Internet, a place prepared so that anyone can create and manage its own group and encourage other fans to join them. A place where all can participate and collaborate by sending news, reports and articles so that the rest of fans discover that there exist other places where people enjoy Tolkien.

We encourage you to participate in a great party, such the one we made last year 2001, when 'The Fellowship of the Ring' was released and more than 1,000 people from all over the world participated in the activities that were organized. To join us, follow these three steps:

Once you join us, you will become a part of the Beleg Aderthad and you will open the door to meet people of your city and from all over the world in order to share your love for Tolkien's works. An enriching and unforgettable experience!

El 18 de Diciembre del 2002 se estrena en cines de todo el mundo la segunda parte de la esperada trilogía de El Señor de los Anillos, Las Dos Torres. Y desde la Beleg Aderthad, un humilde rincón en Internet creado por y para los aficionados de J.R.R. Tolkien y su obra en http://www.belegaderthad.com/, deseamos que todos los aficionados al profesor de Oxford disfruten de un estreno en el que la Tierra Media sea el punto de referencia para una fiesta sin precedentes. Un espectáculo digno de ser visto junto a la gente que nos rodea, vecinos y amigos, el resto de Tolkiendili de una misma comunidad.

Si bien el objetivo de la Beleg es aunar esfuerzos para disfrutar la obra de Tolkien, su mitología y por supuesto, la película en su máxima expresión, logrando así poder vivir una inolvidable experiencia, la Beleg Aderthad se crea para lograr, igualmente, que todos los aficionados puedan asistir al evento. Es por ello que en cada ciudad, en cada región o en cada territorio geográfico puede haber una pequeña o gran Beleg, donde sean los propios aficionados quienes organicen las actividades que más adelante disfrutarán ellos mismos, donde organicen charlas, debates, juegos, talleres y cualquier tipo de espectáculo, además del visionado de la película, que anime al resto de aficionados de la comunidad a unirse a la fiesta.

Para coordinar todo ello hemos creado este sitio en Internet, un lugar preparado para que cualquiera que lo desee, cree y gestione su grupo, y dé pie a que otros visitantes se apunten al mismo, un sitio donde todos pueden participar y donde todos pueden colaborar enviando noticias, reportajes y artículos para que el resto de aficionados compruebe que en otros lugares también hay gente que disfruta de Tolkien.

Así, os animamos a participar en una fiesta de especial magnificencia, tal y como hiciéramos el pasado año 2001, cuando se estrenó en cines La Comunidad del Anillo y más de 1000 personas de todo el mundo pudieron acudir a las actividades que se organizaron. Únicamente son necesarios tres pasos:
