Intermittent server issues disrupt LoTR headlines

We have regrettably experienced intermittent server problems with our headlines. We are working to resolve the issues.

On Friday, May 14, Xenite.Org's server went offline due to a hard drive failure. The drive has been replaced and most of our site contents have been restored. However, the new drive had to be installed as a new server, including an operating system upgrade.

We are in the process of configuring and testing the new operating system installation and Web server application. Some of our CGI scripts continue to experience problems.

We regret the inconvenience these issues have caused our visitors and, as with past server failures, we appreciate your patience and continued support.

Some redesign work is also being carried out.
