White Council archives back online

We have restored the old White Council archives, more than 17,000 discussion messages, to SF-FANDOM.

The White Council was Xenite.Org's original Tolkien and Inklings discussion board. Launched in October 1997 as a spam-free, flame-free alternative to news groups, it proved to be one of the most popular and highly reputable sources of online Tolkien discussion for years.

The message board, and others once hosted on Xenite.Org, was shut down when Xenite.Org expanded its discussion board capabilities and recruited a new team of volunteer moderators to oversee the forums.

In 2001, the forums were moved to SF-FANDOM, where they remain active to this day.

Be sure to visit the White Council archive at SF-FANDOM. An alternative archive, which will be easier to read and navigate through, is planned.
