The Pulp Authors Forum

Robert E. Howard gave us Kull the Conqueror, Conan the Barbarian, Cormac Mac Art, Solomon Kane, and so many others. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle gave us both Sherlock Holmes and the Detective Adventure genre. Edgar Rice Burroughs gave us Tarzan, John Carter of Mars, Carson Napier of Venus, and other heroes. And Lester Dent gave us Doc Savage.
They were pulp authors who, along with dozens of other great writers, opened our minds to possibilities and peril-filled adventures in exotic locales. Their stories inspired comic books, movies, yet more books, and many new adventures that continue to this day. The Phantom, The Shadow, and even modern comic-book heroes like Batman and Spider-man owe a great deal to the classic Pulp Authors.
