The Tolkien Forum and Inklings Forum

Dozens of writers and scholars participated in the meetings of the informal group known today as the Inklings, but most readers associate the names of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis most closely with the group. Tolkien is most renowned among science fiction and fantasy fans for his Middle-earth mythology. Lewis is most well-known for his Chronicles of Narnia and Perelandra series.
The Inklings were a formidable group of talented intellectuals who criticized each other's writings, shared insights into literature, and nurtured each other through their professional careers. Tolkien's various mythologies culminated in the creation of Middle-earth, an imaginary past time inhabited by Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, and Wizards. Lewis went on to write a great deal more about Christian thought than about fantasy and science fiction.
