Kristy Swanson burst onto the scene in the bizarre teen horror flick, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" but when television series opportunity came knocking she remained focused on the big screen, so the role fell to Sarah Michelle Gellar. SMG, as her fans often call her, made the role her own.
She and producer Josh Whedon took fans on a roller coaster ride fraught with vampires, demons, and other ethereal creatures. But among the bad guys, Angel turned out to be the bad boy who could go good, and he eventually got his own show (as well as the girl). Can you beat that?
