Craig Horner, Bruce Spence, and Bridget Regan star in "The Legend of the Seeker", a fantasy television series inspired by Terry Goodkind's books.
Based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth novels, The Legend of the Seeker roughly follows the literary adventures of Richard Cypher and his companions in a season-per-book format. However, The Legend of the Seeker has the freedom to "flesh out" the storyline and characters quite a bit. Although some purist fans have expressed concern over possible changes to the canonical storyline, Terry Goodkind has been supportive of the show and has expressed his faith in the production team led by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert. The Legend of the Seeker stars Craig Horner as Richard Cypher, Bruce Spence as Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, and Bridget Regan as Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell.
The Legend of the Seeker is filmed in New Zealand and many of the people who work on the show have previously worked on New Zealand-based productions such as Shortland Street, "The Lord of the Rings", Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Young Hercules, Jack of All Trades, and Cleopatra 2525 -- nearly all of which have great appeal to the science fiction and fantasy fans who visit and support the Xenite.Org and SF-Fandom forums.
