The Henson Company introduced science fiction television fans to a bizarre mix of hard-SF story arcs and Muppet antics. The muppet technology that founder Jim Henson had pioneered for children's television in the 1960s and 1970s has come a long way.
Commander John Crichton from Earth was drawn through a wormhole and sent to a distant part of the galaxy where he encountered races and creatures he never could have imagined. Through share perils and a mutual desire to find their ways home, Crichton and his new companions became a working team capable of influencing farflung star empires.
The show has now ended production but fans of Ben Browder and Claudia Black are pleased to see both castmates join the
Stargate SG-1 cast. We can only hope we'll get to see more of Virginia Hey, Anthony Simcoe, Gigi Edgley, Wayne Pygram, Lani John Tupu, Tammy MacIntosh, and other great actors who appeared on the show.
