Promote your book on the Internet
You've probably found this page because you're looking for ways to promote your book on the Internet. Whether you're a self-published author or just an author who wants to expand his or her exposure through the Internet, we can help you and we'll do it for free. Why? Because we're a cooperative network of authors and publisher who want to help build a useful channel of services on the Internet that will bring authors and readers together. We believe that if people help one another they can all benefit from a free service. The neat thing about the Internet Authors Network is that you really don't have to do much to participate. The purpose of the network is to help you, not the network's home page, get more visitors to your Web site. Internet book promotion traditionally consists of setting up a Web page and listing it with search services like Yahoo!, Altavista, Google, etc. Oboy. Build it and they'll come, right? Maybe. The problem for most authors is that they don't know enough about Web site design and promotion to compete with the pros. And some of those pros are just fans who build really great sites that are ranked above the author Web sites. But the real problem with Internet book promotion is that if you're depending on people to find you through searches you're stuck in a catch-22 situation: people will only know to look for your book if they are aware of it, and you're counting on the search engines to make them aware of the book. Life just isn't fair, some days. Free Internet Book Promotion But that is where this network comes in. Xenite.Org is a popular domain which gets hundreds of thousands of page views each month. We have found that we can quickly and easily build up interest in new resources simply by promoting them on our own domain. So when Michael Martinez, the founder of Xenite.Org, published his own book, he decided to band together with other authors to help increase awareness of as many books as possible. And so the Internet Authors Network was born. Our philosophy is simple: We'll help any author promote their book on the Web for free. We'll do that through several free services. You'll never be asked to pay us any money to use these services. Furthermore, you don't even have to earn "credits" to participate in the network. One of our free services is a banner button network. Although we ask members to include the network code on their Web pages, they don't have to. All you need to do is create a graphic we can use to promote your book and give us the URL of the page which tells people about the book. We do point out that the more sites which add the network code to their pages, the better the service will be for everyone. We can get far more exposures per day than you, probably, but 100 people like you can generate a lot of exposures, too. The network works best when authors work together. We also provide you with some basic Web design tips. You may like the way your page looks now, but if it's not designed to draw traffic from the search engines you'll find there may be ways you can help yourself by making a few changes. You don't have to become a professional Web designer or search engine optimizer to improve your rankinngs. Another cool service we provide is the Internet Book List (scroll down to see the current list). What is it? Just a list of Web sites about books. Any author is welcome to submit a listing for non-adult oriented content. We feature this Internet Book List on several Xenite.Org pages, and some other sites are carrying it at all. Think of it as a mini directory of Web book sites that anyone can put on their page. The listings scroll as more submissions are made and eventually we'll introduce categories, but for now it's like getting free advertising across the Internet. Check us out. You won't receive any email asking you to buy products or services. We're selling books, our books and your books, and we're doing it through the network, not through spam. So why are you waiting?
