Science fiction, fantasy, and television and movie entertainment are the mainstay's of Xenite.Org's content. But we also have other interests, including cooking (especially white cheese dip), dancing (especially Salsa Dancing and Ballroom Dancing), and history.

And we recognize that we cannot provide all the great content we would like to, so here is a list of some interesting Web sites we hope you'll enjoy browsing. These are not reciprocal links. We have not knowingly or intentionally traded links with these sites, but some of them may link to Xenite.Org or its network.

All links open in new browser windows. We do this because we cannot be sure that the servers for these other sites will be active. A hung server can cause your browser to freeze for up to 1-2 minutes. We, personally, find that annoying and we extend the courtesy of opening these links in new windows in the hope that you, as Webmasters yourselves, will share that courtesy as well.

Ultraverse. Cool Science Fiction and Fantasy eZine. (But that doesn't mean it will be featured on our Xenite Cool Sites page. Sorry, guys. Enjoy nonetheless.

Hugo Recommended by Andy Trembley. An SF fan suggests nominations for the highly coveted Hugo Awards.

The Christian Guide to Fantasy. Apparently not updated since late 2003, this is still a fascinating resource for Christian SF fans, who often feel left out in mainstream fandom resources.

Speaking of Christian science fiction and fantasy, would you like to know which SF authors have openly lived in the Christian faith? Science Fiction and Fantasy Authors of Various Faiths is a great resource for Christian SF fans.

Religious Science Fiction Resources: Christian, Jewish, Interfaith is another great resource for Christian (and Jewish) SF fans who want to learn more about how their faiths have influenced modern science fiction and fantasy.

Xian World View is another resource for Christian SF fans.

The Christian Guide to Fantasy is a well-organized directory of topics inspired by debate in the Christian communities over the Harry Potter books (we here at Xenite.Org feel that Harry Potter is acceptable to most Christian teachings).

Crazy Pulp Science-Fiction Inventions. Just click on the button to see a new list of weird gizmos described in the d20 Past Supplement.

Science Fiction Citations for the Oxford English Dictionary. This site is way cool, as it documents words taken from Science Fiction and Fantasy that have been indexed by the Oxford English Dictionary, considered by many to be the definitive English language lexicon.

Sites We Like at SF-FANDOM includes links to many cool science-related Web sites.

Study: Earthlike planets may be common. CNN story on new calculations about how many nearby star systems we know about which may contain Earthlike planets (about 60 as of September 2006).

History of the World by Hyperhistory. Recommended by Britannica, this is one of the lighter duty history sites.

Timeline: Human Evolution from 100,000 BC to 2000 AD is not a very pretty site but it organizes a great deal of information on recent human chronological development.

Neolithic China: 10,000 BC to 2,000 BC. Brief overview of early Chinese culture and late prehistory.

Search Engine Optimization consulting services provided by Michael Martinez, who has been active in the SEO community since 1998.

Google Engineer Matt Cutts shares personal insights and techy-related posts on his own blog. He is considered to be one of the few truly authoritative voices in the search engine optimization community, although he works for the other side.
