Xenite.Org is a non-commercial entertainment site devoted primarily to science fiction and fantasy. Although we do not promote ourselves as "child-safe", we focus on providing family-friendly content. Some fan fiction stories may contain material not suitable for young children.
Xenite.Org's network includes a broad selection of moderated forums at SF-FANDOM, information about science fiction and fantasy worlds at SF-WORLDS, an archive for The Queen of Swords, and a special resource for Tolkien Studies on the Web.
Xenite.Org, the original domain in our network, was founded in March 1997 and remains home to numerous FAQs, feature articles, news pages, original stories, and other content of interest to fans of science fiction, fantasy, and other interests. We owe considerable thanks to the many dozens of volunteers who have shared their time and passion for various topics through the years.
Michael Martinez established Xenite.Org in early 1997 to serve as the home for a growing collection of Web sites he had begun creating in late 1996. Xenite's first forum, the Witch World Message Board (now the Andre Norton Forum at SF-FANDOM), marked the first in a series of "firsts" for Xenite's growing fandom communities. Michael serves as the creative and editorial director, chief administrator, and public spokesperson for the Xenite network.
Dixie Harrison joined the original Xena Online Resources team in May 1997 when Michael asked for help in managing what remains the Web's largest dedicated directory of Hercules and Xena-related fan sites. By the fall of 1997, Dixie had become leader of the XOR Team and Michael's technical backup. She now handles most of the technical administration duties for the Xenite.Org network while continuing to oversee Xena Online Resources and the related Hercules and Xena Banner Exchange and other services.
Stripe is the founder of the Australian Kevin Sorbo Fan Club and Chief Forum Adminstrator at SF-FANDOM, which is home to the official forum for the Australian Kevin Sorbo Fan Club. Stripe has been involved with SF-FANDOM since its inception in early 2001 and her duties include recruiting, training, and supervising forum moderators, conferring with the other administatrors on forum policy, and resolving issues that moderators refer to the forum administrators.
Robroy McCandless (yes, that's his real name) serves as Second Administrator for SF-FANDOM's forums. His duties include working closely with Stripe and the moderators to help ensure that the forum communities remain enervated but flame-free. Robroy is probably the most active posting member of the administrative team. Robroy came to the Xenite.Org network in the early years and has served as an administrator since SF-FANDOM's inception.
