Well, now the forums have come home to Xenite.Org's own server. We hope that a lot of the problems we ran into on the eUniverse servers will vanish.

Some long-time community members had complained about the UBB software we switched to, but when we tried to revert to a more traditional format at the beginning of November we heard many complaints and requests to go back to UBB.

Only two forums were converted at the end of November, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World and The Andre Norton Forum. Both forums have now been restored to the UBB forums group. The custom forums have been abandoned.

We regret that some of our friends were dissatisfied with the UBB forums software. We understand their concerns but when we tried to address those concerns our solution proved to be inadequate. The situation with the forums was becoming a constant drain on our resources and we finally had to make a decision.

We will stay with UBB for the foreseeable future. We have no further plans to move the forums to another server.

Xenite.Org currently offers more than 30 Web-based discussion forums of interest to fans of science fiction and fantasy, as well as students of history and mythology. We hope our visitors will enjoy these communities for years to come.

Some of our forums are the most popular discussion groups for their topics on the Internet, and we recognize that it's because of our visitors that these forums have become so popular.
