Xenite.Org is not involved in any way with the project, but Xenite.Org founder Michael Martinez was the original organizer for the Hercules and Xena Track now organized by Xena fanfic author and writer (for the show) Missy Good. So we're always happy to help spread the word to our visitors whenever something neat happens with the Herc/Xena track.

A member of the Ted Raimi Fan Club forwarded an email from Ashley Gibson offering to arrange an invitation for a promising teenager to have dinner with the actor. The message was reposted in our Renaissance Pictures Forum. We're reproducing the text here for your convenience.

Dear Sheri,
As part of our new program to help young writers, directors, and stars to be, we're planning a special event that will include Mr. Ted Raimi as one of our esteemed guest stars. The event will be held in Chamblee, GA, during the weekend of DragonCon in Atlanta. Mr. Raimi told us to contact you with details of the event.

This will be an invitation only occasion designed to identify and promote talented young writers and other potential future filmmakers. To be considered for an invitation, applicants must submit a sample short story, short screenplay, or essay about his/her goals in the entertainment industry.

We hope to choose one young fan between the ages of 13-18 to attend the dinner specifically to be partnered with Mr. Raimi. Our hope is that we will find someone who already knows a great deal about Mr. Raimi beforehand and who will be able to take maximum advantage of his experience in the industry.
