After trying to use an eUniverse server for more than a month just for our expanded forums, we have concluded that Xenite.Org's traffic would not benefit from direct hosting with eUniverse at this time. However, we have signed a contract for banner advertising which we hope will work out for the best. eUniverse will eventually carry Xenite.Org banner advertisements as part of its network advertising, and Xenite.Org is withdrawing from all current banner exchange programs that are not hosted here.

However, we will continue to participate in the Hercules and Xena Banner Exchange and we have just begun implementing a new, "internal", banner network to help us promote our own sites and occasional selected non-Xenite.Org sites on our pages. This new internal network runs 125x125 banner buttons in the margins of pages.

To facilitate these changes in banner code, we are designing new pages for Xenite.Org and the transition to the new layouts will be gradual.

But Xenite.Org will also be rolling out new forums, custom-written and designed according to our needs. These forums should be more efficient and capable of handling the traffic we have become used to than the current UBB forums hosted on eUniverse or our older, now defunct WWWBoard forums (based on scripts from Matt's Script Archive). The new forums will restore fully threaded navigation through discussions but will support many UBB and FuseTalk features.
