Since midnight, August 29/30, Xenite.Org has been showing only banners for the Red Cross, Mennonite Disaster Relief Fund, and the Salvation Army USA Hurricane Relief fund. We converted our advertising network without fanfare to provide helpful, supportive links to these highly reputable organizations. We do realize some people feel the Red Cross does not devote enough money to actual relief operations. But they are presently the most widely recognized organization involved in the relief effort.

Both CNN and MSNBC have been accumulating safe lists to help people find lost friends and relatives. We are now linking to those sites through our banner network as well.

Although the disaster's impact will be felt for many months to come, Xenite.Org will continue to devote its advertising resources to these relief efforts throughout the month of September. In October, we will restore our normal internal advertising, at least on a limited basis, as seems appropriate at the time.
