In the coming weeks and months, you'll see us rolling out new content and a new design (probably several). We are giving serious consideration to embedding our static HTML content in a content management system. Doing so would enable us to update our design more easily and often, and would simplify the process of adding new sections and features.

We'll also be looking at opening our resources to other Web content providers again. We miss having a great team of volunteer writers, editors, and contributors. Hopefully, we'll be able to announce a new program by March 2007.

Xenite.Org turns 10 years old on March 14. We're planning a special celebration. In fact, we've already started offering some goodies. Members of the Endor mailing list (formerly Xenite's Middle-earth mailing list) are participating in a HobbitKu contest through the month of September. Three lucky contributors of original hobbit-oriented Haiku will be awarded prizes.

We've also contacted a group of writers known as the Compuserve IMPs, old friends of Michael who have written books and short stories through the years. We'll be adding a new feature section on the IMPs complete with interviews and anecdotes in a few more weeks (maybe a couple of months, but hopefully before Christmas).
