Originally created in 1999, Xenite.Org's Farscape Forum was the first fan-operated forum dedicated to the then very new SciFi television series. Produced in Australia as a joint production with the Jim Henson Company, Farscape took a while to catch on with American television audiences because of its unique, innovative presentation.

Nonetheless, Xenite.Org founder Michael Martinez saw potential in the show and he took a chance. The forum went live in May 1999 and it continued to function its original format through July and into August 2000. By that time Xenite.Org had joined the eUniverse network and we moved our forums to a UBB platform.

Unfortunately, performance issues plagued our relationship with eUniverse as they underestimated the amount of traffic we were sending to them. By January 2001, Xenite had had enough of performance issues and we created SF-Fandom to host our growing selection forums. We have kept the popular Farscape Forum going ever since despite several server crashes and the end of the show.
