LoTR Movies Forum Renamed to Middle-earth Movies Forum

February 23, 2009 at 09:43:48 Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson converged for years in the SF-Fandom Lord of the Rings movies forum. But as the years have passed interest in Peter Jackson's movies have faded, and most of our Tolkien discussions have consolidated into our older Tolkien Forum.

But now new movies are on the horizon. Guillermo del Toro is directing and co-writing the two upcoming "Hobbit" movies and British fans of Tolkien from the film industry are releasing, for free, on the Internet two movies this year: "Born of Hope" (the story about Aragorn's parentage) and "The Hunt for Gollum".

As much in recognition of these fan projects as of the del Toro films, we have renamed our LoTR movies forum to the Middle-earth Movies Forum. The short address for the forum is http://www.sf-fandom.com/vb/movies/middle-earth/ for those of you who like to bookmark our short forum names.

We look forward to many new discussions about these upcoming movies.
