Dark Angel
Set in the near future, James Cameron's Dark Angel envisioned the life of Max, a genetically engineered super-soldier. Max lives in a police-state USA reduced to third-world status by a terrorist attack.
On September 11, 2001, Al-Qaeda launched an attack on the U.S. financial community, but American wealth (and data) largely survived the threat.
Soon, the U.S. Congress passed the Patriot Act, extending the Federal government's powers. Despite some concerns, the U.S. has yet to evolve into a Cameronian police state. And Genetic research has met with stiff resistance.
The dark future James Cameron envisioned has not yet arrived.

Dark Angel Episode Guide offers an interactive listing of episodes where registered users can vote on quality and post comments. The site looks like a fairly simple fan site but seems to offer all the DvDs for sale. Includes scans of DvD covers and some information from inside each DvD on the special DvD listing pages.
TV Tome provides a brisk rundown of each episode, pointing out goofs (or what they believe are goofs). A lot of good information can be found on the Dark Angel series episodes.
SciFi in the UK has an official Web site for Dark Angel, which is being shown in syndication there.
Dark Cherubs is a well-done fan site which offers episode summaries, an image gallery, and behind-the-scenes information. Also includes biographies for the actors and actresses who played the YOUNG X-5s on the show.
Dark Angels Den includes the usual episode summaries and gallery, but also includes fan art, fan fiction, and news about Dark Angel and Jessica Alba.
