J.J. Abrams' Fringe

Imagine a world where a secret government investigative unit is confronted by mysteries that, when added together, create a
Pattern and the only person who has a real clue to what the pattern may be is a mad scientist who has spent 17 years in a mental institution. J.J. Abrams and his crack writing team of Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have brought such a world to life on the Fox Network with their television show
Fringe.
Lance Reddick plays Phillip Broyles, a Department of Homeland Security Agent who has assembled a special team including F.B.I. Agents and non-government personnel to interpret and manage the emerging events of The Pattern. Broyles and his team rely upon the expert investigative abilities of F.B.I. Agent Olivia Dunham.
Peter Bishop is not a government agent. He's just found himself caught up in the investigation chasing down The Pattern. He also happens to be his father's only living relative, and Dr. Walter Bishop -- incarcerated in a mental institution because of the crimes he committed years previously while developing scientific techniques that are now being identified in events from The Pattern.
Massive Dynamics, Inc., a major mega corporation, has drawn the government team's investigative interest. There seems to be a strong connection between Dr. Bishop's research and the corporation, which was founded by his former partner. Broyles and his team have to close in on the source of The Pattern as quickly as possible, because people are dying from mysterious attacks and no one yet knows what the real scope of the threat may be.
