 Both of the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess series have created their own special spin on the Amazon mythos. First introduced in the telemovie "Hercules and the Amazon Women", these unique tribes of women warriors continue to have an importance to the X:WP storylines. In late 1997, there was even the creation of a series pilot whose setting was an Amazon tribe and included Danielle Cormack (Ephiny in X:WP and H:TLJ, The Chartreuse Fox/Lady Marie in H:TLJ) and Karl Urban (Cupid, Caesar in X:WP). At first named "Amazon High", then "Amazon Nation", this series was completely reworked into "Cleopatra 2525", which premiered in January 2000. Nevertheless, the Amazon tribes and cultures as portrayed on H:TLJ and X:WP continue to inspire the creation of Amazon-themedwebsites.
